NEW SHOP COMING SOON!
The links are all still in progress and not yet functional – but I’ll be putting up my soaps and other creative products in my OWN shop hopefully within the week! Very excited for this new opportunity!
Please note that I do not ship products outside the continental US and have no plans to do so in the future.
With that information out of the way….
Welcome! My name is Sherry Bradford (aka “Merry Sherry”). I live near Dallas, Texas – but am a transplant from Oklahoma. Originally came to the Dallas area after completing my college degree later in life (40’s) and taking up a whole new career in Technology. In previous times I’ve been a librarian, a potter, an office manager, administrative assistant, research assistant, an academic advisor, graduate student advisor, assistant to an editor, and all around crafter. After moving to Dallas, I became a coder, a database/business intelligence expert, a painter, a web and form developer, a digital asset manager, and a trainer and support person for a content management system. Along the way, I learned to do screen painting, airbrush, hypnosis, jewelry, and very basic welding. And now I’ve turned my interests to web content, soap making, ballooning, face painting and little bit of drumming (at which I fail miserably). All that to say, I love to learn and try new things. As I look toward eventual retirement from my corporate career, I hope that I can expand on my soaping business and web content business and enjoy finding ways to incorporate all the other things I’ve learned along the way!
So what’s with the name of this site? It started with crafting with drop-cloths. They are perfect for curtains, pillows, tearing into strips for banners, wrapping soap (or anything else). When trying to decide how to incorporate all the things I enjoy sharing, I thought the double-meaning would come in handy. I’m hoping you all will “drop everything” and peruse the site, and let me also learn from you. I’m not sure exactly where this journey is going to take me (or us), but I’m looking forward to the ride!
